Yes — a Unique Student Identifier (USI) is required to enrol in any nationally recognised training in Australia, including first aid and CPR courses. The USI is a government-issued identifier that stays with you for life and is used to store your training records. You must provide your USI at the time of enrolment so your certificate can be issued and recorded correctly.

Please bring:

• Your course confirmation email/booking reference
• Photo ID (e.g., driver licence, passport)
• Your USI (only if you have not provided it at time of registration)

Wear comfortable, casual clothing and flat shoes — you’ll be participating in practical activities (e.g. bending, kneeling, CPR on the floor).

Certificate validity follows standard industry guidance:

• HLTAID009 Provide CPR — valid for 12 months
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid — valid for 3 years
• HLTAID Provide First Aid In An Education & Care Setting - valid for 3 years

If you hold a combined first aid certificate, the CPR component still needs annual renewal to stay compliant in most workplaces. Regular refreshers help ensure your skills and knowledge remain current.

Yes — CPR training is included in our HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID012 Provide First Aid In An Education & Care Setting courses. This means you will learn adult, child and infant CPR, AED use, choking responses and the DRSABCD action plan as part of your first aid training. If you want to complete a shorter, CPR-only course, we offer that option too (HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
